Over the past decade Art of the Olympians and our International Olympian and Paralympian artists have had local, national and international solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums across the world promoting sport, art, the Olympics and Paralympics. Our artists and their artwork have been seen on numerous TV networks including CBS, NBC, BBC, CNN, PBS, USA and UK’s Channel Four. In addition, publications such as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Guardian, Telegraph, and Independent, to name just a few, have also followed our artists, exhibitions and other exploits. Our members’ artwork has also been displayed on the giant Panasonic Astro-Vision screen in New York City’s Times Square, at the United Nations and at three Olympic and Paralympic Games – Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010 and London 2012. And for three and half years, between 2010 to 2013, AOTO has had dozens of group and solo exhibitions at our museum and gallery in Fort Myers, Florida.
Art of the Olympians future exhibitions and educational programs will combine the real world and the virtual world. We will continue to have “on-site” exhibitions and “in person” educational programs but will be adding virtual shows and workshops. This combination will be more efficient and effective and allow us to build on our previous successes and scale-up to reach a larger global audience.
